Sofapaka chairman, Elly Kalekwa has confirmed that John Baraza has been permanently appointed as head coach following Melis Medo’s departure from the club.
The American tactician parted ways with Batoto Ba Mungu a week ago and once again Baraza returned to the helm for the third time, but this time permanently.
Kalekwa has expressed full confidence in his former captain. He also disclosed that the club will get Baraza an able assistant coach to work with.
Vote of confidence
“Baraza will be the head coach and so we will get him an assistant coach who will help him out. We have full confidence in him and we want him to grow and become a top coach because he’s a Sofapaka legend, he has grown with the team and he understands this team better than anyone else. He’s definitely the best man for the team,” Kalekwa said.
In the two games that Baraza has been in charge, Sofapaka has managed a win and a draw.
