Kenyan international Masoud Juma was not in the picture as the United Arab Emirates (UAE) top league resumed on Monday 4 February with his club Dibba Al Fujairah falling 1 – 2 away to Al Wasl.
Masoud has been linked with a move to Libya, with reigning champions Al Nasr said to be his next destination, having offered him an 18 – month deal ahead of a potential move to North Africa.
Replaced by Rosa
Rumors of the move to North Africa have been further fuelled by the UAE club’s move to bring in Brazilian forward Samuel Rosa, who has been termed the replacement for Masoud, with the Kenyan forward having scored eight goals in 13 league and cup games at Dibba Al Fujairah.
The UAE league resumed for the 14th round of matches after a break to give room for the Asian Cup but there was no reprieve for Masoud’s side as they endured a third straight winless outing while the loss marked a 10th straight winless outing in the Arabian Gulf League.
Dibba Al Fujairah have managed just one win in their last 15 matches; 13 of those being losses and one draw.
