Gor Mahia will miss the services of veteran striker when they take on Petro Atletico in Luanda Angola on Wednesday 13th February.
The former Kenyan International is yet to recover from an injury that saw him miss the Mashemeji Derby over the weekend at Moi International Sports Center Kasarani.
Club chairman Ambrose Rachier has confirmed that Oliech will not travel with the team to Angola. This further deals Gor Mahia a blow as striker Jacques Tuyisenge and utility man, Philemon Otieno are suspended.
“Oliech will not be traveling with the team to Angola. He has not recovered well and won’t be in a position to play on Wednesday,” Rachier told the official club website.
Young left-back Geoffrey Ochieng will take up Oliech’ place in the traveling contingent..
“We have included Geoffrey Ochieng’ in the traveling party to take up Oliech’s space so the traveling number remains to be 18 players,” he added.
