Nairobi Stima head coach George Owoko was elated with his side’s 1-0 win over Kangemi Allstars in a National Super League (NSL) match at Camp Toyoyo Grounds on Wednesday 13th February afternoon.
A Curtis Wekesa second half strike is all Stima needed to leapfrog FC Talanta to third in the second tier log.
Speaking after the match, Owoko hailed his side for the the fight they put in against a determined Allstars side.
“I am really proud of my players. They played very well against a team with good fighting spirit and I am happy that we got the three points and kept our unbeaten run,” he said.
Owoko was full of praise for Allstars who he said have players with individual brilliance.
“They have around 3-4 players with individual brilliance. A player like Musa (Masika) is a national team player and he played very well. It was a good test for us and it’s important we got all the three points,” he added.
Next for Stima is a home game against Migori Youth.
