Harambee Stars jerseys will be available for fans to purchase, way ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Football Kenya Federation, CEO Robert Muthomi has assured.
A lack of the jerseys, and generally Harambee Stars kit in the market has been cause for constant complaints from the populace and Muthomi, speaking to Soka, assured that the federation is in the process of ensuring the issue is well addressed in good time.
He said talks are in progress with relevant partners and in a fortnight, the same could be unveiled, but that is dependent on a number of other factors.
“I believe we are going to have them in the near future; we have been moving around trying to get partners for the same.
“The issue of kitting is among the partnerships that we have signed and I believe in the next 14 days we are going to do a launch,” he told Soka.
With the provision of the jerseys coming with a financial implication, Muthomi will be hoping all the funding avenues expected come through
“On this we also need funding; the issues of kitting and all these can only be addressed if we have the money,” he added
In the recent past, Kenya national teams have won the Kelme, Joma and Uhlsport brands.
