Ghana head coach Kwesi Appiah has named his squad that is set to take on Kenya’s Harambee Stars in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier scheduled for Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday 23 March.
Appiah has given debut call ups to former Leeds United attacker Caleb Ekuban, UAE based midfielder Ernest and Asante and Kotoko trio of midfielder Kwame Bonus, captain Amos Frimpong and goalkeeper Felix Annan.
The team will be skippered by Andre Ayew after injury led to the exclusion of captain Asamoah Gyan.
The 24 man squad will begin camping on Monday 18 March ahead of the clash hoping to silence Kenya and finish top of the group ahead of the tournament to be played in Egypt in June.
Kenya beat Ghana 1 – 0 in the reverse fixture staged at the Moi International Sports Center (MISC), Kasarani in 2018.
