The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) midseason transfer window for the transitional 2018/19 season is officially open, effective Monday 11 March, and will stay so until Monday 8 April.
National Super League side, Nairobi Stima has already made inroads, with a reported double swoop for Kisumu AllStars duo of Dennis Oalo, and Austin Ochieng. The two were conspicuously absent as the team took on Thika United on Friday 8 March, in the last game before the window swung open.
Second tier sides
The early stages of the window will likely be dominated by second tier sides as another high flying side, Wazito FC, is said to be the destination for former Tusker FC defender Lloyd Wahome.
Wahome, also a former Mathare United and Gor Mahia defender played his last match for Tusker in the 1 – 2 loss to AFC Leopards, ending his six – year stay with the Brewers.
As Wahome decamps, defender Brian Odhiambo, formerly of Palos FC and Jericho AllStars, who also tried out with Ulinzi Stars ahead of the season, is said to have attracted coach Robert Matano’s attention.
Wahome is reported to be heading to Wazito alongside Amos Asembeka, who has not enjoyed much game time at Tusker as he did at Sony Sugar before switching to Ruaraka.
