Gor Mahia’s continental exploits coupled with the date adjustments of the new domestic season has seen constant rescheduling of the team’s league fixtures with another three more fixtures involving the defending league champions being assigned new dates.
The upcoming round 19 league fixture against Zoo FC and the follow up games against Kariobangi Sharks and Nzoia Sugar have all been rescheduled with the fixture against Ulinzi Stars, that has so far been postponed thrice, being assigned a new date.
The game against Zoo was scheduled for Tuesday 26 at the Green Stadium in Kericho but it has now been pushed forward by a day to Wednesday. The same has been done to the game against Sharks that was initially scheduled for the 29th of this month but has now been moved to the 30th.
Next month the team will take on Moroccan side RS Berkane in the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederations Cup. The first leg will be on the 7th with the second leg coming a week later on the 14th, the date that the team’s league encounter against Nzoia had been scheduled.
This consequently sees the game pushed forward to the 24th, four days after the game against Ulinzi.
If the team progresses into the latter stages of the CAF CC then more changes in the scheduling of matches are bound to occur.
Gor currently lie in 2nd place on the league standings with 32 points, just a point adrift of leaders Sofapaka with the advantage of having played three games less.
