In a bid to maximize the gains from gate collections, Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions, Gor Mahia are set to launch electronic ticketing for their home matches.
Such a move has been a big desire for Gor fans and the announcement by Chairman Ambrose Rachier and Treasurer Sally Bolo will definitely find favor.
The chairman said on the club’s website that the club will be rolling out the plans for the same in the near future.
“Electronic ticketing has been in our plans and we are about to roll it out – that should be very soon and we will communicate the details and how the system will work in good time,” the chairman said.
Treasurer Bolo confirmed that the club invested in research for the same, as she reiterated the cost benefit of the new move.
“After successful research and testing of the e-ticket system, l am happy to announce that we are good and ready to go digital.
“Digital ticketing is a brilliant way for us to consolidate our revenue as a club by ensuring transparent, fast and easy ways for our supporters to get their tickets from wherever they are across the country,” she noted.
With the new move, fans will be required to print their tickets or show codes on their phones before admission at the gate.
