Nzoia finally bring onboard Muyoti’s replacement

Nzoia Sugar have confirmed that former Kibera Black Stars coach Godfrey Oduor has joined the team as head coach on a three year contract, replacing Nicholas Muyoti who decamped to join Kakamega Homeboyz in February.

Oduor, popularly known as Solo, has been out of club duty since stepping down from his role with Black Stars also in February but has since been with the national U17 team.

Since Muyoti’s departure, Nzoia have been under the tutelage of Patrick Mwaura who has helped steer the team to 11th place with 28 points.

Club Chairman Ngisa Mokua confirmed Solo’s appointment to Soka, enthusing belief that the club had made the right choice.

“Oduor is with us for the next three years,” Mokua said. “He is a young coach and his work with young players at his previous stations bodes well with what we at Nzoia are trying to do.”

Oduor will be required to keep the team afloat in the topflight with the remaining 11 games of the season.
