South B United will face Jericho AllStars in the boys final of the Chapa Dimba na Safaricom Nairobi Region Final on Sunday 28th April at the Goan Institute Ground in Pangani, Nairobi while Carolina For Kibera and Acakoro Ladies will battle in the girls final at the same venue.
South B United 2-0 Uweza FC
South B United deservedly beat Uweza FC 2-0 in the first boys final courtesy of goals from Victor Madegwa and arguably their best player Enock Wanyama, both goals coming in the second half.
“We are happy to have made it to the next stage. The journey has been tough but we have made it. We are looking forward to tomorrow (Sunday) and hope we emerge winners. Our dream has always been to eventually win the national finals and we hope it comes true,” said Wanyama after the match.
Jericho AllStars 2-1 Brightstar Academy
Jericho AllStars survived a late scare to edge Kasarani’s Brightstar Academy 2-1 in the other boys’ semifinal.
Bramwel Kavaya grabbed a brace for Jericho while Brightstar’s lone goal was scored by Collins Ambayo.
Carolina For Kibera 4-3 Dagoretti Mixed School (post-match penalties)
Carolina qualified for the final after edging Dagoretti 4-3 on post match penalties. The match had ended goalless in regulation time.
“We have had a good game though the ground was muddy and slippery. We are ready for the finals tomorrow and we hope to win. It is our hope to also see more of our players selected to join the All-Star team that will go to Spain for the training,” said – Fredrick Odhiambo, Coach Carolina FC.
Acakoro Ladies 4-1 Nairobi County Queens
Acakoro overpowered Nairobi County Queens in the other girls’ semi played at the same venue.
Sylvia Makhungu grabbed a brace for Acakoro with Florence Achieng and Catherine Awuor scoring the other goals. County Queens got their consolation through Lukoje Millicent.

Girls: Acakoro Ladies vs Carolina For Kibera – 9 AM
The winners in tomorrow’s finals will each receive a cash reward of KES 200,000 and proceed to the national finals set for June 2019 at Kinoru Stadium, Meru. The runners up will also pocket KES 100,000 each among other individual prizes.
At the grand finale, the winning boys’ and girls’ teams will each walk away with KES 1 million shillings in prize money among other individualized prizes.
This year, an All-star team has been selected from the 8 regional finals to attend a training camp in Spain during which they will play against local youth sides.
