Kisumu All Starlets were the biggest winners in Saturday action from the FKF Women’s Premier League with a 10-0 hammering of visiting Spedag Ladies FC at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
On-form strikers Mercy Akinyi and Bertha Omita were all on target with Akinyi scoring six goals while Omita managed a hat-trick. Vivian Wambui was the other goal scorer.
Gaspo Youth also made it nine wins in nine matches after narrowly edging Mathare United Women 1-0 at Jericho’s Camp Toyoyo Grounds. Elizabeth Wambui was the scorer of the lone goal.
At the Oserian grounds, hosts Oserian Ladies took down Soccer Queens 5-2, a result that takes them to 18 points from nine matches and into the 5th position on the log.
Five more matches have been lined up for Sunday action and prime among those is champions Vihiga Queens’ visit to former champions Thika Queens. This is expected to take place from 1 pm at the Thika Sub-county stadium.
Kisumu All Starlets meanwhile, have had their Sunday clash involving Kayole Starlet brought forward hence will sit out Sunday action.
