Kariobangi Sharks whipped as Gor Mahia, Sony pick away draws

The bad streak for Kariobangi Sharks will stretch into the 29th round of matches in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) after they were whacked 3 – 0 by visiting Kakamega Homeboyz on Sunday 5 May.

The defeat, served by goals from Allan Wanga from the penalty spot and one apiece from David Okoth and Peter Thiongo marked the 11th straight winless outing for the 2018 SportPesa Shield winners.

Barren draws

Meanwhile, on a day that didn’t go so well for the home sides, hosts Zoo FC playing Sony Sugar at the Kericho Green Stadium, could only manage a point as the sides played to a barren draw.

In Kisumu, it was the same case for Western Stima, who picked a point in a 0 – 0 result with Gor Mahia.

League action continues on Monday with Ulinzi Stars set to hos Nzoia Sugar at Afraha Stadium starting 3pm while KCB will be at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos to take on Mount Kenya United.
