Point acceptable for Kamau but he admits there’s still ground to cover

Posta Rangers head coach John Kamau had a pat on the back for his charges after the barren draw with Bandari FC in their Sunday 5 May Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Heading to the game 23 points behind Bandari in the KPL standings, Posta Rangers was given really little chance against the Dockers but the hosts managed to hold their own for a vital point.

The mentality shown by his players was his main pick in the game and even as the goals are not coming as much as he’d expect, he is ready to wait on his team, as he takes his charges through the steps.

“I have to congratulate my boys for their mentality in the game. We may have not won after having a big chunk of possession but I think they did well. I want to be very patient with the boys because this is a really young team.

“It is a case of trying to motivate them and encourage them to work harder. We lost quite a number of chances that would have killed this match but that we are going to address,” he noted after the game.

Next up for Rangers is a trip to Nakuru for a clash against Ulinzi Stars at Afraha Stadium.
