Five players will not get the clearances to feature for their teams when the 2018/19 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) campaign enters the 30th round of matches on Sunday 12 May.
As Sofapaka heads to Kisumu City to take on Gor Mahia in a match that holds a big sway to the title race, the 2009 league winners will be without key man Kepha Aswani. The striker is serving a one – match ban after picking five yellow cards in the season.
Peter Nganga of Posta Rangers will also carry the same fate when his team gets to face Vihiga United at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
Mount Kenya United FC’s Bernard Omondi will also miss out when his team faces his former employers, Mathare United at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani. He is serving suspension after picking five cautions in the season.
Tusker FC forward Timothy Otieno will also be unavailable when the Brewers take on Nzoia Sugar. He is on five yellow cards as well.
The only player on a red card heading to the day’s matches, is Western Stima’s Berry Kote. He will miss the match against Kakamega Homeboyz at Bukhungu Stadium.
