The destiny of the 2018/19 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) title will by large be swayed on Sunday 12 May, when the top two sides, Gor Mahia and Sofapaka get to face off at Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
Seven points separate the two sides, which have also been in the best form in the season as the league goes to the final stretch of matches. A win for Sofapaka will throw them much in the fray as far as the title charge is concerned.
On the other hand, Gor Mahia needs just six points to bag the title and a win here, followed by another in Mumias when they take on Nzoia Sugar in midweek will see them bag a third straight title.
The Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos will host a doubleheader on the same day. Tusker and Posta Rangers will be the host teams, taking on Nzoia Sugar and Vihiga United respectively at the venue.
Relegation threatened, Zoo FC will host Ulinzi Stars at Kericho Green Stadium. The home side has managed just four wins in the season, and 14 defeats.
Another relegation threatened side, Mount Kenya United will be facing Mathare United at Kasarani, hoping to pick three points after managing only four wins this season.
