The provisional Kenya national team for the 2020 African Nations Championships (CHAN) qualifiers has been named, with the first assignment, against Burundi, coming right after the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in Egypt.
In a presser at the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) offices on Tuesday 14 May, head coach Sebastien Migne gave call ups to Gor Mahia midfielder Kenneth Muguna and Ulinzi Stars marksman Enosh Ochieng, both who missed out on the AFCON list.
A heavy representation from Gor Mahia also sees defenders Joash Onyango and Philemon Otieno called up, having also made the AFCON team. The KPL giants also have in the team Francis Kahata and Samuel Onyango among midfielders and Nicholas Kipkirui among the forwards.
Farouk Shikhalo, Brian Bwire and John Oyemba, all who are in the AFCON list are also in the CHAN list, as is Whyvonne Isuza, Bernard Ochieng, Dennis Odhiambo, Paul Were, John Avirre and Allan Wanga.
