Commandos take survival quest to Eldoret as Coast derby takes center-stage

Only three matches will be played over the weekend in the second tier National Super League with Green Commandos’ trip to Eldoret Youth headlining the Sunday 26th action.

Commandos are in risk of relegation from Kenya’s second tier and a victory away in Eldoret can spring them up to 16th on the NSL table standings. Youth on the other hand, in their first time in the top flight, are doing fairly at 12th in the standings with ten wins after 34 matches.

At the Mbaraki Sports Club, Coast Stima and Modern Coast Ranger face-off for the second derby this season with Stima playing hosts.

The two are only separated by two points and follow each other on the log- Rangers on 10th and Stima on 11th.

The third clash has Fortune Sacco visiting Bidco United at the Thika sub-county stadium from 3 pm.

Bidco could have been in contention for promotion with four matches to go but find themselves placed 6th on the log, a massive 7 points behind 5th place Police FC.
