Most races in the 2018/19 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season have been settled going to the final round of matches for the season, and among the few remaining, Ulinzi Stars forward Enosh Ochieng has a special interest.
The forward is looking to get the back of the net when his side faces relegated Mount Kenya United, to propel his quest for the Golden Boot and he says he is in the perfect mood for that.
First call up
A great season he has had, leading to a first national team call up in the team earmarked for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, and after a few training sessions with the national team, he says he is confident enough ahead of the Mount Kenya game.
“It has been a big season for me; I am happy to have stayed injury free so far and I have also been handed the first national team call up. It is tremendous.
“I have learned a lot from the coaches and fellow players at the national team and it gives me so much confidence going to the Mount Kenya game. I want to score in the game and I hope that counts in my chase for the Golden Boot,” he says on the club website.
As he heads to the game, Enosh has netted 17 goals, one lesser than top scorer, Allan Wanga.
