The FKF Shield Cup final pitting defending champions Kariobangi Sharks and Bandari FC at the MISC Kasarani on Saturday 1 June has been abandoned midway through due to heavy rains currently being experienced in parts of Nairobi.
Bandari were leading 2-1 going into half time when the heavens opened resulting in the Kasarani pitch becoming soggy and unplayable.
The second half of the game will now be played tomorrow at the same venue from 11AM with the result remaining intact.
A brace from Yema Mwana had Bandari firmly in the driving seat after 26 minutes but a long range effort from Patillah Omoto moments later halved the deficit for Sharks.
In the 3rd place playoff played earlier at the ground, KCB FC proved too strong for 3rd division side SS Assad putting seven past the coastal outfit in a 7-1 drubbing.
