NSL: Leading trio take battle to the wire

The battle for honors in the National Super League will go to the wire after the three leading sides all bagged wins on Wednesday 5 June, Match Day 37, to stay in the chase for top spot as well as the two automatic promotion slots.

Wazito FC spanked FC Talanta 4 – 1 at Camp Toyoyo to maintain the hold of top spot with 78 points and they remain a point ahead of Kisumu All Stars and Nairobi Stima, who are tied at 77.

Kisumu All Stars saw off Green Commandos 4 – 2 at Moi Stadium in Kisumu while Nairobi Stima were 3 – 0 winners over Shabana at Karuturi in Naivasha.

Ushuru FC, who featured in playoff in each of the last two seasons, will have to contend with another season in the NSL as they can’t finish in the top three, despite their win over Kangemi All Stars.
