Following the conclusion of the top two leagues – the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) and the National Super League (NSL) the last piece of the jigsaw is the playoff to determine the full sets of the two leagues.
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has set Saturday 15 and Wednesday 19 June as the dates for the two legged playoff that will see KPL side Posta Rangers taking on NSL side Nairobi Stima.
Stima who finished third in the second tier, will host the first leg in Naivasha at the Karuturi grounds on Saturday 15 June starting 3pm then Rangers, 16th placed in the KPL will host Stima at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Wednesday 19 June.
The winner on aggregate in the matches will take up the 18th slot in the KPL with the loser heading to the NSL for the 2019/2020 season.
From the KPL at the close of the 2019/20 season, Vihiga United and Mount Kenya United were relegated, with Wazito FC and Kisumu All Stars gaining automatic promotion from the NSL to the top tier.
