Former Ulinzi Stars midfielder John Nairuka is angling at a move away from Posta Rangers after seeing out his three-year contract at the club run out.
Nairuka, previously with Thika United and Ulinzi, has been at Rangers for three seasons now and says he already has three offers which he is currently considering before he makes a decision.
”My contract with Posta Rangers has ended and we have not agreed on certain terms so that’s why I’m still waiting for a word from the management. I have been here three seasons and I believe I have served the club well,” he told Soka.
Nairuka, who missed twelve matches at the start of the season due to injury, bounced back in the second half of the season to feature prominently for John Kamau’s side.
He says he is being courted by three clubs, but is reluctant to reveal whom, as nothing concrete has come out yet.
”It would not be fair to mention names because we haven’t talked at length but I have three offers – two local and one abroad. I respect my current club and that’s why I cannot make a decision now,” he added.
Rangers ended the 2018-19 season placed third from bottom of the KPL log on 32 points from 34 matches. They had to go through a tense two legged playoff with Nairobi Stima which they won on aggregate to keep their place in the top flight.
They begin the 2019/20 season with an away tie to Sofapaka FC on August 31.
