BREAKING: Pamzo – KCB part ways, Bankers seek Solo as replacement

Soka can reliably confirm that KCB have parted ways with assistant coach Sammy Pamzo Omollo, with Nzoia Sugar head coach Godfrey Solo Oduor in line to come in as his replacement.

The Bankers have already contacted Oduor but the deal is not yet close to completion as he is still contracted to The Millers until 2022.

Once the deal is finalized, Oduor will deputise former Gor Mahia assistant Zedekiah Zico Otieno, who took over at the club at the start of the month, replacing Frank Ouna.

Former Tusker

Oduor, a former Tusker FC player, spent the second half of last season at Nzoia after resigning from his position as head coach of NSL side Kibera Black Stars.

The change ends Pamzo’s season – long stay with The Bankers as he had been appointed just a month into last season’s campaign, coming in to help stabilize the ship that had been rocked by wrangles within the technical bench that led to the sacking of assistants Ezekiel Akwana and Elvis Ayany.

Oduor presided over 10 games at Nzoia, winning two and drawing five as they finished in 12th place with 39 points, six points and two places adrift of KCB.

He brings plenty of experience with him having worked as an assistant coach with the national U17 squad as well as leading Black Stars to the NSL back in 2016.
