Everton set for two day visit in Kenya to kick-off pre-season preps

English Premier League (EPL) side Everton FC will jet into the country on Saturday 2 July for their SportPesa sponsored friendly match against Kariobangi Sharks which will kick-off the Mersey side club’s pre-season preparations.

Everton will play Sharks at the MISC Kasarani on Sunday 7 July from 4PM CAT  in the first of six friendly matches lined-up for the team as they prepare for the 2019-20 Premier League season.

The Blues’ pre-season schedule also includes games against FC Sion, Monaco, Wigan Athletic, FSV Mainz and Sevilla.

They will leave the country on Sunday evening after the match.

The team reported to camp on Monday 1 July with first team players Theo Walcott, James McCarthy, Andre Gomes and Tom Davies among those present on Monday.

Tickets for the match went on sale on Monday at select SportPesa shops in Nairobi with the regular tickets going for Kshs 100 each.

The visit will be Marco Silva’s side first ever in Kenya and second to East Africa after their 2017 visit to Tanzania.
