Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia have made five new signings, and issued the confirmations for the same on the club’s official website as the team gets down to preparations for the 2019/20 season.
The club has roped in Sony Sugar duo of midfielder Tobias Otieno and right-back Abdalla Ashura and also paid a visit to Nzoia Sugar to pick defender Elvis Ronack all on four year deals.
The club also made a tour of the National Super League (NSL) and has confirmed the signing of Nairobi Stima’s Curtis Wekesa, a winger and Dennis Oalo, a striker who netted 24 goals in the league last season.
Both players picked from Stima have also been offered four- year deals.
No confirmation for Djabel
Curiously though, there’s no confirmation from the club from Rwandan Djabel Imanishimwe, who Rayon Sports had reported over the weekend that he had been released to join Gor Mahia.
Gor CEO Lordvick Aduda told Soka that while there is interest from the KPL champions, and with the relevant permission issued from the parent club to open talks, a deal is yet to be struck.
