Former Gor Mahia attacking midfielder Victor Ali Abondo, commonly referred to by K’Ogalo fans as Tear Gas has on Wednesday 3 July held a training session with his former club at the Camp Toyoyo.
It is however not yet known whether Abondo is on the verge of a return to the club or is just keeping fit looking for potential suitors though it is the club who posted the above on social media with a sneaky caption that could mean the player, who left for South Africa back in 2016, could be rejoining the team.
Hassan Oktay’s team has been on a recruitment spree to hep prepare for the upcoming season and have already roped in five players.
Abondo had two stints with the Green Army first in 2012-13 and 2015-16 with the highlight of his time with the team being the 2015 season where he formed a devastating three pronged attack together Michael Olunga and Meddie Kagere as Gor under then coach Frank Nuttall won the league title unbeaten.
He left the following year for South Africa to join Ajax Cape Town and them Bloemfontein Celtic but his sojourn did not see him leave up to expectations.
He has also featured for Tusker FC, Sony Sugar and Bandari.
Gor are currently preparing for this year’s CECAFA Kagame Cup which is set to kickoff on Saturday in Rwanda.
