Wazito snap-up “former” Hull City trainee as assault on transfer market continues

Wazito FC are currently on a recruiting spree as they gear-up for their return to the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) with the latest recruits being midfielder Joshua Nyatini and keeper Bixente Otieno.

The two players make it six signings so far for the team who won the 2018-19 National Super League (NSL) campaign to seal promotion to the top tier.

Nyatini, part of the 2017 KPL All Stars team that played against Hull City in the UK, joins from Sony Sugar while 17 year old Bixente is a former Gor Mahia youth player.

Hull City training

It can be remembered that Nyatini despite not making any significant impact in the 2-1 loss to a Hull City development side, as he came on with only seconds remaining on the clock, received a once in a life time opportunity to train for a couple of days with the English side’s coaches as the rest of the team returned home.

He is the third player to land at Wazito from the millers in the current off season transfer window with the other two being keeper Kevin Saha Omondi and striker Derrick Otanga.

The former Green Commandos star’s move also continues the exodus at Sony which started with head coach Patrick Odhiambo joining Gor Mahia and doing so with two of his players in midfielder Tobias Otieno and rightback Abdalla Ashura.
