WPL set for resumption after one month break

The 2019 Kenyan Women’s Premier League (WPL) season is set to return after a month long break this weekend of 13-14 July.

The league took a break to allow for mid-season transfers.

Eight matches have been lined-up for the weekend across different venues with current league leaders Gaspo Youth in action on Sunday at the Camp Toyoyo against debutants Kibera Soccer Academy.

Gaspo top the standings with 36 points having played a game more than second place Trans Nzoia Falcons who have 30 points after 11 games.

Defending champions Vihiga Queens are 3rd with 27 points from 10 games played.

At the opposite end of the log, Makolanders lie bottom with just one win from nine matches played.\
