Migne set to name Harambee Stars squad for CHAN qualifier against Tanzania

Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne will on Thursday 11 July name his squad that will hit camp ahead of the 2020 CHAN two-legged qualifier against Tanzania.

Stars are set to play the first-leg tie away in Dar Es Salaam on July 26 with the return leg coming a week later in Nairobi on August 2.

The French tactician named a provisional 32-man squad for the qualifiers of the 6th edition of the continental championship, at the same time he was name the squad for the 2019 AFCON tournament back in May.

Several local based players who were part of Kenya’s AFCON campaign were also included in the CHAN squad.

Kahata and Nyakeya

Migne will however not have the privilege of picking Allan Wanga, Francis Kahata and Cliff Nyakeya who he had named in his provisional line-up.

Kahata and Nyakeya are no-longer eligible as they have joined the paid ranks abroad while Wanga recently retired from international football.

The tournament only allows teams that are comprised of players playing locally in their respective domestic leagues.
