Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Sony Sugar has seen a lot of movement in the current transfer window with a number of key men leaving the Awendo based side and seemingly it is not bound to get better.
The club on Saturday 13 July bade farewell to goalkeeper Samuel Njau, Kelvin Wesonga and Abdalla Chamberi, all who have been signed by Kisumu based Western Stima ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
The three add to earlier exits by head coach Patrick Odhiambo, who has taken up a new role as the Gor Mahia assistant coach, midfielders Tobias Otieno and Joshua Nyatini as well as goalkeeper Kevin Omondi.
The club’s lead scorer in the 2018/19 campaign, Derrick Otanga has also decamped, joining big spenders Wazito FC.
Sony Sugar finished the 2018/19 season fifth on the KPL log with 56 points.
