Immediate former AFC Leopards defender Salim Shittu Abdalla is weighing up his options before embarking on the next chapter of his footballing journey after leaving The Den.
The burly centreback revealed to Soka that he has received plenty of offers to continue playing from teams in the KPL as well as the NSL but is yet to make a decision.
Shittu, who joined Leopards before the start of the 2017 season from Posta Rangers, was released after the close of last season, just a season into his renewed three year deal that would have seen him ply his trade with the 13 time Kenyan champions up until 2021.
“I’m a free agent and yet to commit my future to any club though I have received plenty of offers,” Shittu, who also counts Sofapaka and Ligi Ndogo among his previous work stations, said.
“I am not placing myself in a box by just looking at only clubs from the KPL, if a good offer comes in from a team that is not in the KPL I will for sure consider it.”
Shittu leaves Ingwe with an FKF Shield Cup winners medal from 2017 where he netted in the 2-0 final win over Kariobangi Sharks.
He considers the goal his best ever for the club as it helped the team return back to the continental stage with their qualification to the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup.
