Oduor benched as Leeds United takes a heavy fall against Manchester United

Kenyan youngster Clark Oduor will wait longer for his second appearance at English Championship side Leeds United after spending the entire match on the bench as his team fell 0 – 4 to Manchester United in a Wednesday 17 July preseason friendly match.

Oduor, who got his Leeds United debut on 6 January 2019, as his team fell 1 – 2 to QPR in an FA Cup fixture, and Polish Kamil Miazek were the only Leeds United players who didn’t get the nod for the match from Argentine coach Marcelo Bielsa.

Two more preseason games

In the match, at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia, Mason Greenwood gave United the lead in the seventh minute and Marcus Rashford doubled the advantage in the 27th minute before Phil Jones and Anthony Martial completed the rout with second half goals.

On Saturday 20 July, Leeds United, who are on a tour of Australia, will be up against Western Sydney Wanderers before facing Italian side Cagliari in their final preseason game.

The team will then embark on the Championship with a quest for promotion to the Premier League.
