The Harambee Stars of Kenya have a dicey looking group in the way of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations hosts Egypt, Togo, and Comoros Islands- if they are to head to Cameroun 2021 for their second successive AFCON competition.
Stars, who finished third in the 2019 showpiece behind eventual tournament finalists Algeria and Senegal, had been drawn in Group G of the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers for the 33rd edition of the tournament that will be held in Cameroun.
Egyp hosted this year’s edition- on that is yet to conclude, and were shockingly bundled out of the round of 16 by South Africa by a solitary goal having won all their group stage matches.
Comoros and Togo were a no show at Egypt while Kenya- in Group C alongside Algeria, Senegal and neighbors Tanzania, finished third with three points, the win coming against Taifa Stars.
The first round of these qualifiers will be held on November 11-19, 2019.
