KEFWA to hold first ever Player Congress in Nairobi

The Kenya Footballers Welfare Association (KEFWA) is set to hold the first ever Players Congress for all players playing their trades in each of the top two divisions in the women and men’s domestic leagues on August 24 at the Tamarind Hotel in Nairobi.

Teams from the Kenyan Premier League (KPL), National Super League (NSL), Women Premier League (WPL) and Women Division One League (WD1L) will send representatives for the one day event as has been the norm in other KEFWA organized seminars.

KEFWA’s Secretary General Jerry Santo is quoted as saying on the Association’s portal, “The main objective of this congress is to set up a working structure that incorporates and shares our annual work plan with our members. Trainings on players Contracts, players’ welfare, equality and allowances will also form a major part of the discussions.”
