After months of searching, Kenyan international Masud Juma has found himself a new club. The former Kenyan Premier League (KPL) top scorer has been confirmed at Algerian side Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie.
The striker’s last work station was in the United Arab Emirates at Dibba Fujairah and though reports had it at some point that he had moved to Libyan giants, Al Nasr, there wasn’t any official communication on the same.
In a Facebook post on Sunday 28 July, JS Kabylie confirmed the striker’s signing on a three – year deal, making him their ninth new player ahead of the new season, which will also see the team participate in the CAF Champions League.
Masud was a member of the Kenya national team which took part in the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt, though he didn’t feature in any of the matches as Harambee Stars got eliminated at the group stage.
He has previously also played for Cape Town City FC of South Africa.
Masud was the top scorer in the Kenyan Premier League in 2017 while at Kariobangi Sharks, with 17 goals.
