Agogo, Oalo left out of Gor Mahia’s 23-man CAF CL squad

Gor Mahia have released a 23-man squad that will feature for the team in this season’s CAF Champions League group stage qualifiers with new signing Kennedy Agogo Otieno the high-profile absentee.

Agogo, who was brought in from Western Stima, has not been included in the squad as he is still yet to be registered by CAF having signed for the 18 time Kenyan champions just last week.

Left out

Strikers Dennis Oalo, Eliud Lokuwam and Eric Ombija have also been left out as have been Alphone Omija, Caleb Omondi and Samuel Osoo, youngsters brought in from the team’s youth side. 

Assistant coach Patrick Odhiambo has however included seven new signings in the squad led by strikers Francis Afriye and Gislain Yikpe.

Gor will begin their quest to reach the groups stages of CAF’s premier club competition against Burundian champions Aigle Noir with the first leg tie set to be played in Burundi on August 11.

Defenders: Wellington Ochieng, Philemon Otieno, Shafik Batambuze, Geoffrey Ochieng, Joachim Oluoch, Joash Onyango, Charles Momanyi, Maurice Ojwang.

Midfielders: Ernest Wendo, Tobias Otieno, Kenneth Muguna, Curtis Wekesa, Bonifae Omondi, Lawrence Juma, Samuel Onyango.

Forwards: Dennis Oliech, Nicholas Kipkirui, Dickson Ambundo, Gislain Yikpe Gnamien, Francis Afriyie.
