Sofapaka FC have on Thursday 8 August confirmed Portuguese national Divaldo Alves as the club’s new head coach on a deal that is believed to be for one year.
The news was confirmed by the 2009 KPL champions via twitter with the 40 year old having arrived in the country on Wednesday night.
He replaces John Baraza who led the team last season with Soka understanding that the former Kenyan international will revert back to the assistant coach’s position.
Born in Angola, Alves has traversed the globe having coached in Malaysia, Lithuania, Indonesia and Oman. He joins Batoto Ba Mungu from Muscat Club of Oman where he spent three years from 2015 to 2018.
