Kenyan youngster Oduor finds a new base after Leeds United stint

Kenyan youngster Clarke Oduor who has been in the books of English Championship side Leeds United was among the players involved on the transfer deadline day in England, making a move to another second tier side, Barnsley.

Oduor, who managed just one appearance for Leeds United, as a second half sub in January 2019 as Leeds fell 1 – 2 to QPR, has been handed a four year deal at his new club.

Great boost

The 20 – year old is naturally a left back but can also comfortably play in the left flank. He joined the team as one of the two deadline day captures, alongside Austrian Patrick Schmidt.

“It’s great that Barnsley have faith in me and they want me so much and, for me personally, it’s a great boost,” Oduor said as quoted on Barnsley website.

12 new players

In total, the club brought on board 12 new signings in the recently closed transfer window.

Oduor could make his debut for his new team on Saturday 10 August when Barnsley takes on Sheffield Wednesday in a local derby.
