Mapigano starts as Pollack names team to take on Aigle Noir

Gor Mahia head coach Steven Pollack is set to start his stint at the team, with a game against Burundian side Aigle Noir on Sunday 11 August in Bujumbura, and in his first assignment, he has picked on Tanzanian keeper David Mapigano to start in the preliminary round CAF Champions League clash.

As Pollack start his time at the team, midfielder Kenneth Muguna will also be leading the team for the first time as skipper in the game, pulling strings in the midfield.

With Philemon Otieno injured and staying back in Nairobi, Wellington Ochieng will slot in at the right back position while Geoffrey Ochieng slots in at the left back position.


Joash Onyango and Charles Momanyi will handle the central defensive roles.

New signings Tobias Otieno and Dickson Ambundo are also set to start the game, with Nicholas Kipkirui leading the attack.
