As the Kenya U15 national team leaves on Tuesday 13 August for Eritrea ahead of the 2019 CECAFA U15 tournament, striker Andrew Waliaula has his eyes set on helping the team win the title and also bagging the golden boot.
The lanky striker who has been turning out for Kibra-based KESA FC, says he hopes to inspire his friends and upcoming players by becoming a successful professional footballer.
“My dream is to join Arsenal in the near future. I know many young kids have a similar dream and I want to be an example to the upcoming generation of players, that they can look up to me and see it is possible to achieve your dreams no matter where you come from,” Andrew says,
“My target in the CECAFA U15 tournament is to score goals to help my team win the title and also as an individual to get the top scorer’s award. I want to make my Kenyan people proud. We have prepared well and I believe we will do well,” he added.
