Saburtalo FC lost 2-0 at home to FC Ararat of Armenia to lose their two-legged Europa League group stage qualifier 3-2 on aggregate.
Saburtalo had won the first-leg fixture 2-1 in Armenia but could not replicate that fete at home as they crushed out of Europe just one round removed from the tournament’s group stages.
Tera, a Kenya U23 international, featured for full minutes on Wednesday, picking up a booking.
Saburtalo, who play in the Georgian topflight, qualified for the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League preliminaries after claiming the 2018 title, but were demoted to the Europa League after a 5-0 aggregate loss to Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb.
Tera, who is the younger brother to former Tusker, Posta Rangers midfielder Luis Tera Misiko, featured in one game against Zagreb, the 2-0 loss at home in July.
Saburtalo will now switch their attention to the league and attempt to win only their second topflight title. They currently lie in 3rd place, four points adrift of record Georgian champions Dinamo Tiblisi.
