Former Mathare United head coach Francis Kimanzi, and current KCB FC head coach Zedekiah Zico Otieno have been confirmed the men to lead a new Harambee Stars technical bench after reports on the same emerged earlier in the week.
The lead position in the national team fell vacant after French coach Sebastien Migne and the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) agreed to terminate the contract binding the two on 12 August following a spate of poor results.
Subsequently, on Saturday 17 August, the federation communicated the replacement with Kimanzi, who served as Migne’s assistant, rising a rank up for a third stint as national team head coach.
Zico too is not new to the national team, he once served as the team’s head coach.
The two, and the reconstituted technical bench will be unveiled on Tuesday 20 August in an FKF press briefing at a venue to be communicated in due course.
