Preparations for the 2019/20 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) campaign have intensified and as teams go that extra mile to better their best, four sides have come together to form a three-day preseason tournament starting Wednesday 21 August.
AFC Leopards, Mathare United, KCB and newly promoted side Wazito FC will be facing off in the tournament set to be staged at the Gems Cambridge International School.
The series of friendly matches will commence with Mathare United taking on KCB FC on Wednesday at 9am EAT, before paving way for AFC Leopards versus Wazito at 11am EAT.
In the coming season, AFC Leopards will be looking to improve on their 11th placed finish last season while KCB will hope to do better that the 10th place they managed on their return to the top flight.
Mathare United had a good start to last season but crumbled midway and finished sixth. Now with Salim Ali as coach, they will also be hoping to improve on their shortcomings in the previous campaign.
Meanwhile, Wazito secured an immediate return to the KPL and with more financial muscle, they will be looking to do better than the bottom placed finish they achieved two seasons ago.
