Former AFC Leopards goalkeeper Lawrence Webo and former Mathare United goalkeeper Enos Karani have been named among the new faces on the Kenya national team, Harambee Stars technical bench after a restructuring necessitated by Frenchman Sebastien Migne’s exit.
Webo, an established goalkeeping coach having worked with Posta Rangers, AFC Leopards and Harambee Starlets, will be the new keeper trainer at the national team while Karani, who is also attached to Tusker FC, will be the team’s new physio.
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) on Tuesday 20 August unveiled the new look bench at a Nairobi hotel. Francis Kimanzi, who was earlier confirmed the head coach, will be rising a rank higher after having served as one of Migne’s assistants.
It will be the third stint at the team for Kimanzi and he gets to serve with assistance from Zedekiah Zico Otieno who was also once the head coach at the national team, and is currently attached to Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side, KCB.
The bench will also have Mike Igendia, as the fitness trainer and Dr. Wycliffe Makanga, who have been retained from Migne’s team.
