New kits new regime, Ushuru FC ready for 2019-20 NSL season

For the first time in over a decade, Ushuru FC will head to a new football season with a new face as the head of the team’s technical bench.

Since the days of KRA there has only been one man at the helm, veteran tactician and former Kenyan international Ken Kenyatta has been Kenya’s equivalent of Sir Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger, a long serving coach.

But after the conclusion of last season, the team’s hierarchy decided against him and appointed his assistant James Odijo Omondi to help lead the team back to its glory years of featuring in the topflight.

James Odijo Omondi will be at the helm when Ushuru FC attempt, for the fourth time in succession, to return back to the KPL following their 2016 relegation

A former Kenyan international himself, Odijo has coached KCB, Muhoroni Youth and now defund Sher Karuturi and knows all the intricacies that come with the job as Ushuru attempt to return to the KPL for the fourth time of asking.

The 2019-20 season will also see the club done new apparel manufactured by English sportswear brand Samurai Sportswear.

The Taxmen will kick off their campaign on Sunday 1 September against Nakuru based side St. Joseph Youth at the Ruaraka grounds from 3PM.
