The Round 2 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match pitting AFC Leopards against Kariobangi Sharks set for Sunday 15 September has been moved to the Nyayo National Stadium.
The match was initially set to be played at the Moi International Sports Center (MISC) Kasarani but with the clearance from the Sports Stadia Management Board (SSMB), fans will have a first taste of Nyayo Stadium in two years.
Suitable for the match
The facility was closed in January 2017 for renovations and was briefly opened in August to host a Gor Mahia versus AFC Leopards match and has since been under lock and key, at least for football events.
While Nyayo Stadium is not yet complete, as per the plan shared two years ago, the pitch was found to be suitable enough for the match and the teams’ set of fans will have to make do with the situation.
AFC Leopards, the home team, has released the ticketing information for the game with VIP tickets set to retail at Kshs 500 and regular tickets going for Kshs 200.
