No Goals and No Winners was the order of the day on Sunday 15 September as the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) matchday 2 of the 2019-20 season continued with two matches played at the MISC Kasarani and Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.
AFC Leopards up against Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani and KCB at Machakos against Kisumu All Stars produced similar 0-0 scorelines as round 2 of the new season after seven matches failed to spark with only one win registered in the weekend’s matches.
Sony Sugar produced the only win of the weekend, claiming all three points in the millers derby against Nzoia Sugar in a 2-1 win at the Sudi Stadium, Bungoma on Saturday.
Sunday’s 0-0 scorelines add on to two more that were produced on Saturday.
KCB’s result sees them ascend to the top of the standings with four points while All Stars and Leopards put their first points on the board after losing their respective season opening fixtures.
For Sharks, the draw sees them remain unbeaten and at the same time winless as they had also draw their opener against Western Stima.
The round will conclude midweek with Bandari and Gor Mahia taking on Zoo Kericho and Chemelil Sugar respectively.
Gor will be away to Chemelil on Thursday while Bandari will play host to Zoo on Wednesday.
The two fixtures were set for this weekend but were postponed due to the continental commitments for both Bandari and Gor.
