Bandari FC’s new signing Mohammed Agege Katana came off the bench to grab the winner for the coastal outfit as they came from two goals down at the Mbaraki Sports ground to claim a 3-2 win over Zoo FC in a rescheduled round 2 KPL fixture played on Wednesday 18 September.
The goal is the young wingers first for the club as well as his first in the Kenyan top tier.
Zoo had shocked the hosts by sailing to a two-goal lead inside the first 20 minutes with the Kericho based side’s offseason acquisition, Collins Neto, grabbing both goals in the 15th and 20th minutes.
This is how the game would remain for the half before Bandari came out guns blazing for the second stanza as just three minutes after the restart, Bernard Mwalala’s charges had restored parity through William Wadri and Yema Mwana.
The win lifts Bandari up to 5th on the log with four points, tied with the other four teams above them. On their part, Zoo who kicked off the season with a win over Chemelil Sugar, drop down to 7th.
