Gor and KCB to faceoff in Machakos as KPL enters round 3

A full list of fixtures has been scheduled for this weekend of 21-22 September when the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) enters round 3.

Round 2 saw one fixture postponed with Gor Mahia’s away fixture to Chemelil Sugar the only game that wasn’t played in the round.

The defending champions will be in action however in this round after their continental assignments and will take on KCB at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday in the final game of a planned double header at the ground.

KCB top the standings on goal difference after winning one and drawing the other in the two matches thus far. Gor on their part lie 6th with three points.

K’Ogalo have dominated this fixture over the years but last season the bankers picked off four points as they marked their return to the topflight following a three year stay in the second tier.

The other game to be played at the ground will see Posta Rangers, also on four points, host Western Stima.

First win

In other games elsewhere, Wazito FC and Matahre United will be out in search of their first wins of the season when they take on AFC Leopards and Ulinzi Stars respectively in two of the three matches scheduled for Saturday.

Wazito have selected the Bukhungu Stadium as their home venue for the game against Leopards while Mathare will be in Machakos for the soldiers’ visit.
